1. Boil sticks for about 15 minutes.
2. Let them cool.
3. Place in empty cup to curl overnight (or dry).
4. Paint or decorate

What kind of paint did you use on the wood to hold up to all the “wear and tear”?

Use acrylic paints. Use a finishing spray to help them last.
Another idea is to use scrapbooking paper with modpodge.
