Cheesy Hasselback Chicken

Ingredients:
  • 4 thick boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4-6 oz. deli-sliced ham, cut into strips about 1″ by 2″
  • 4 slices cheese, cut into strips about 1″ by 2″ (colby jack, pepper jack, cheddar, provolone, etc.)
  • seasoned salt
  • freshly ground black pepper

Strawberry Salsa

INGREDIENTS
  • ½ ounce balsamic vinegar
  • ½ ounce honey
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 pound strawberries (diced is about 2 cups)
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh basil
  • zest of 1 lemon (about 1 teaspoon)

Felt Birthday Cake Gift Box

Use a hot glue gun and felt to cover a CD tower style box. Make the little icing puffs by cutting out flower shapes and sewing them together as in pic. Lightly brush the puffs with a little acrylic paint for color, let dry. Add a ribbon. Put your gift inside and give to a friend!

Carrot Play Dough Party Favors

You need:

  • 2 cups plain flour (all purpose)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons cream of tartar
  • Up to 1.5 cups boiling water (adding in increments until it feels just right)
  • food colouring (optional) (Orange in this case!)
  • few drops glycerine (optional- adds more shine!)
