Ever had an owl protect your breakfast? You could also adjust the pattern to fill with stuffing (instead of an egg!) to make a cute toy.

A poem by Clinton Howell
When things go wrong as they sometimes will
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but just don’t quit
Life is queer with its twist and turns
As every one of us sometimes learns
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won, had he stuck it out
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow
You may succeed with another blow
Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt
And you never can tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems so far
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit
It’s when things seem worst, that you must not quit.
Here’s an easy, but fun game for a baby shower. I especially like it because the supplies are inexpensive: pins and a prize.
Pick up a set of clothes pins, we found a cute set of mini plastic pink and blue pins. Get enough for one per guest.
Give a pin to guests as they arrive. Have them pin it to their sleeve. Instruct them to ‘steal’ a pin from someone when they say the word BABY.
At a pre-determined time during the shower, award a prize to the guest who has the most pins collected.
Also works well for baby showers where men are present too.
Here’s a fun activity for a baby shower. Prep is easy and will give mom to be a few nice things for baby at the end of the party.
Suggested supplies to purchase, 20-25 items: (go to the dollar store!)

Other supplies:
How to play: Arrange all goodies onto tray. Hide tray in an unused room. When it’s party time, bring out the tray and pass around for guests to get a good look. Once everyone’s had a chance to see the tray, remove it from the room. Give guests the paper and pencils and have them list from memory the items on the tray. Bonus points question to ask: What character or design was on a specific item? (Figure this out ahead of time.) You can set a timer, and the guest with the most correct items when the buzzer goes off wins. At the end of the shower, new mom gets to take home all the goodies.
You can use mayonnaise to deep condition your hair. Especially good for dry, cracked and frizzy hair. Follow the link below for specific instructions.
