I wanted a scarf that was both brown and grey because my pea coat is grey and I have a lot of brown clothes in my wardrobe. So I thought this would tie the two colors. I picked up this yarn at Walmart. I also grabbed the cream colored yarn too. I think it turned out lovely. Try it – once you get the hang of it, its not too hard! I’ll admit I did pull it apart a few times at the beginning but all told it took me about 45 minutes. Had I had more yarn, I could’ve whipped another one up in about 30 minutes. Original Post HERE

I have done this too, both for myself and friends. I found some chunky varigated black, brown and grey yarn at Michael’s. It’s beautiful on!
how much yarn do you need to make one scarf? and is there a certain kind that works best?
Jackie…I bought one skein , 100gram, 27m. I made one perfect infinity scarf in one hour. I also used a variegated acrylic purchased at Walmart for $7.
