  1. I have made this recipe many times and it really is my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. Never did I realize what a difference using pastry & bread flour can make. This combination produces a chewy texture inside with a wonderful slightly crunchy exterior. Definitely don’t skip these ingredients. I usually use a combination of Belgian dark chocolate & Hershey milk chocolate chips and they come out delicious. Right before they go into the oven I sprinkle a tiny bit of sea salt and it really brings out the chocolate flavors. The cookies do come out wonderful if you do refrigerate the dough for at least one day but who can wait! I always bake about a dozen the day I make the dough and leave the rest for another day. Regardless of how long you wait the cookies are just fabulous!
