Gather the ingredients:

1 1/2 c	warm water (110-115 degrees)
1 pkg	yeast or 2 1/4 tsp
2 Tbsp	sugar
4 c	flour
2 tsp	sea salt
4 Tbsp	butter, softened
1/4 c	baking soda
2 qt	water
1	egg, lightly beaten with 1t water
