Homework Tip

I had an issue with one of my kids in that he asks for help before even trying to do the work himself. When I was trying to get dinner ready, make phone calls, housework done, etc.. I had to come up with a solution. So, I came up with the:

BEFORE YOU ASK FOR HELP POLICY

1. Read the directions.

2. Read the question(s).

3. Find the subject matter in your text book.

4. Read the subject matter in your text book.

5. Think of your best guess as to what the answer might be.

6. Be prepared to show what you’ve read, what information you have, and your best guess.

7. Then ask.

8. If I can’t help right away, go to the next question: Don’t waste time.

I hope this helps you as it does for me. -Krisgo

Denim with Scarf Revamp

top edit1

Gypsiesister says: Start by pinning the scarf to the front panel of an old shirt.  Line up the scarf hem to the buttons.  Next cut the scarf under the arm seam and down side seam, I left a few centimeters excess here. Tack loosely to keep in in place while sewing then get your machine out and stitch the scarf to the front panel. Remove tacking thread and trim of excess scarf, and your done!

This would be great to cover a stain or rip in an old shirt too!
