Shopping is never easy with a toddler who is still learning that tantrums don’t work. Take along a sign to hang on your cart – The other shoppers might more appreciate your efforts!

Do It And How 
This is disrespectful of others in the public establishment. Remove them from the store, put them in the car and sit there with them until they calm down. If they don’t, go home and put them in their room. You can shop some other time, either alone or telling them that the same will happen if they pull that stunt again. I raised 2 boys and if & when they started to throw a fit, we removed them from the establishment until they calmed down – or went home if they didn’t. Yes, it meant inconveniencing ourselves, but it was better us than a whole business full of people trying to enjoy their own personal time. Screaming kids are beyond unpleasant, and allowing them to scream in public “to teach them a lesson” is doing no such thing. It’s pissing off everyone else, ruining their day and teaching the kid that it’s ok to scream and act uncivilized in public. Sorry, but that sign…it’s disrespectful of those around you, and only proves that you’re just as inconsiderate as the screaming kid – and you’re the one that should know better!
