First Dance Frame
This could be used for a wedding gift or an anniversary gift or a gift to Mother/Father of the Bride/Groom. Write out the lyrics for those special songs chosen for those dances at the reception onto a matte. Add a photo commemorating this dance. Love, love, love it!
Earring Holder
I used:
- a yard sale frame (glass removed for another project)
- ruler
- wire hangers
- strong wire cutters
- sharpie
- drill
I first measured where I wanted the horizontal lines to be. I marked with the sharpie. Cut the bottoms of the wire hangers to be just a little long. Drilled a small hole at each mark and inserted the hanger piece into each hole.
Hung it up in the bathroom. Makes for a functional art piece showing off my earring collection.
Wordy Wall Art
Use sticky letters on a mirror or a fabric covered canvas. Spray paint over the whole thing. Let dry. Peel off letters and you get this cool wall art. Great idea via brassyapple
Gel Air Fresheners
- 2 cups liquid potpourri
- 4 individual envelopes of unflavored gelatin
- 2 tbsp. salt
- heat-safe containers
In a saucepan, heat 1 ½ cups of the liquid potpourri and the salt until the salt is dissolved. Then add the gelatin, and stir until thoroughly dissolved. Remove from heat. Add the remaining liquid potpourri and stir until completely combined. Pour into containers and allow to cool thoroughly. To make them more beautiful, add some food coloring and silk flowers!
