Time Out Poems

  • Boys will be boys
  • So they say
  • But I’m raising my boys to be men one day
  • Shouting is not nice
  • And kicking hurts
  • Nobody likes their face in the dirt
  • So boys that fight, kick, and shout
  • Will be boys that sit in
  • Time Out!
  • Girls will be girls

  • But I’m raising my girls to be ladies one day

Birthday Surprise

For my kid’s birthday’s, I try to have some sort of surprise ready for when the wake up or get home from school. I’ve been know to streamer and baloon up a room or two, and even TP’d my son’s room for his 15th birthday. Here’s a great idea. Set up streamers in a central hallway, or even in the child’s doorway. Fun!

  • 14″ x 14″ pillow form
  • 1/2 yard of canvas/duck cloth
  • coordinating thread
  • long tapestry needle
  • sewing machine
