Big Fabric Covered Chain Necklace

TUTORIAL BIG CHAIN copy (2)

Ok so I don’t speak anything but English… lets figure this out!

You’ll need enough shower curtain rings to fit comfortably around your neck.  Then take glue and wrap and glue strips of fabric around each band. When dry, slip the bands together and voila! (my only non English word) 🙂result1

Denim with Scarf Revamp

top edit1

Gypsiesister says: Start by pinning the scarf to the front panel of an old shirt.  Line up the scarf hem to the buttons.  Next cut the scarf under the arm seam and down side seam, I left a few centimeters excess here. Tack loosely to keep in in place while sewing then get your machine out and stitch the scarf to the front panel. Remove tacking thread and trim of excess scarf, and your done!

This would be great to cover a stain or rip in an old shirt too!

Pumpkin Seed Ornaments

Here are the supplies you will need:

  • 1. Dry pumpkin seeds
  • 2. Something for the center, either a coffee bean, I used red peppercorns
  • 3. Ribbon to hang them
  • 4. cardboard fro a cereal box or cardstock
  • 5. Glue gun and glue sticks or craft glue for youngsters

First cut a circle out of cardstock about 2 ” in diameter. Start hot gluing the outer row of seeds, being sure to overlap the edge of circle so it’s not shown. Next row build up as in photo by overlapping previous row. Continue. Add the peppercorns or other seeds in center with hot glue (be careful!). Add ribbon to back. You can use a hair dryer to melt and blow away the hot glue webs once everything is set.
