Coffee Filter Roses

You’ll need:
– coffee filters (about 15)
– scissors
– a pencil
– normal sewing thread
– coffee
– a cup
– cinnamon, spices
– tin foil
– oven
– paper adhesive tape
– stripes of cotton
– ribbons, button
– a wooden stick for the stem
– a bbq stick
– tags, clothespins, rubber stamps (all optional)

Summertime Snowflakes

You’ll need:

Boiling hot water – enough to fill your pint sixed mason jar
1/3 cup borax – you can find this in the laundry aisle. I also like to use Borax to help remove stains and odors in our laundry. It works great on pee laundry…for any of you toilet training right now. I mean your children who are toilet training…right. 🙂

pencil
pipe cleaners
string/yarn

Directions

1. Form your pipe cleaners into a snowflake shape or whatever shape you desire, while you boil water.
2. Add water to your mason jars.
3. Mix in borax. Stir it but don’t worry if it isn’t completely dissolved.
4. Attach your pipe cleaner shape to the string and hang it from the pen/pencil while submerging it in your jar.

Children’s Art onto Tea Towel

All you need are thin flour sack towels, copy of childrens art, a fine point sharpie, and a couple of pins to hold art to back of towel. Trace over the artwork onto the towel with Sharpie. Makes a darling gift for a grandparent, or from preschool students to parents. Idea via

 

Tracing Hint: If you are having trouble seeing through the towel – use painters or masking tape to tape onto a bright window. the sun shining through will help you trace!
