• 1 (15-ounce) can chicken broth
• 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
• 2 cups dry elbow noodles
• Kosher salt and pepper, to taste
• 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
• Fresh chopped basil, for serving, optional
