Ways to Make Your Home Smell Great

1. Coffee Scent Hack French vanilla coffee — who doesn’t want a house smelling like that? All you need is vanilla scented tea lights and a bowl of coffee beans. It really is that easy!

2. Eucalyptus? Did you know you can stop by your local florist and snag eucalyptus sprigs for just a couple bucks?

3. Oatmeal Hack! Bringing in positive smells to our homes is uber important but making sure we’re eliminating the bad is equally important. If your fridge smelling a little bleh but you’re out of baking soda try a bowl of uncooked oats to soak up the icky smells!

Slow Cooker Beer Cheese Soup

Fill up cold bellies with this warm treat!

  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 carrots, peeled and diced
  • 3 stalks celery, diced
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
  • 2 c. wild rice (or rice blend), rinsed and drained
  • 8 c. chicken stock
  • 1 (12 oz.) beer – good quality wheat or pilsner style
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1 t. dried thyme
  • 1 t. smoked paprika
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, cut into cubes
  • 8 oz. extra sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • fresh parsley to serve

Roasted Sweet Potato and Black Bean Quesadillas

Savory, warm, hearty, delicious, etc. etc. etc…

  • 2 Large Sweet Potatoes, peeled and sliced into chunks
  • 4 Large White Tortilla Wraps
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Coriander
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper 
  • 1/2 can of Black Beans, rinsed
  • 2 Large handfuls of grated Cheese (like Cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • Juice from 1/2 a Lime
  • Salt & Black Pepper, to taste
  • Olive Oil
Extras ‘n’ optionals:
  • 1/2 Avocado
  • 1 whole fresh Jalapeno, deseeded if necessary
  • 1 handful of fresh Coriander, roughly chopped
  • 6-8 Cherry Tomatoes, quartered
  • 2 Dollops of Sour Cream
  • 1 extra Lime
