Simple Crab Cakes
- 1 pound lump crabmeat, picked over for shells
- ½ cup saltine crumbs, divided
- 3 scallions, minced
- 2 tablespoons melted butter, plus 1 tablespoon softened butter
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 3 teaspoons hot sauce
- 1½ teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Rolled Ham and Cheese Pastries
You’ll need:
- Ham and American Cheese (or try other meats and cheeses)
- Plain or Pastry Dough
- Egg Yolk
Chicken Apple Sausage Pasta
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound chicken apple sausage, sliced
1/2 large onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 granny smith apple, chopped
2 cups chicken broth
1 (14.5 oz) can of tomatoes with green chilies
1/2 cup heavy cream
10 ounces pasta (I used Cellentani.)
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
1/4 cup green onions, sliced thinly for garish
