I love this how to – you could make all kinds of things into a ‘scratcher’ .. “What’s for dinner?” Well, son, “scratch and see!” LOL
- Clear contact paper (I found a huge roll at Dollar Tree)
- Round circle punch (I used a 2″)
- Metallic acrylic paint
- Liquid dish soap
- Paint brush (or one of those $.10 cheapo foam brushes from your craft store)
- Paper to print your scratch-it text on

Fun appetizer to serve at your next party or even just for movie night. This recipe includes a yummy cheese sauce, but you could also serve marinara, ranch, mustard, etc..
Homemade Pretzel Bites
- 1½ cups warm water
- 2¼ teaspoon fast acting yeast
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons light brown sugar
- 4½ cups all purpose flour, plus more if needed
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- ½ cup baking soda
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
Cheese Sauce
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- salt and pepper
