Video Scavenger Hunt

Here’s a great idea for a party. Host a neighborhood scavenger hunt where all the things to collect are things that the teams have to do. Choose one person on the team to record the ‘finds’ on camera.

For example:

  • All team members slide down a slide at a playground.
  • Push another teammate in a shopping cart across lot end to end.
  • Make up and perform a rap song about your team.
  • Order a Big Mac at any drive-thru other than a McDonalds.
  • Make up and perform a cheer about your team.
  • Clean up litter from the side of a predetermined length of roadway.
  • Each member hula hoops for 10 seconds or more.
  • Etc..

When the predetermined time is up, every one gathers back at the party location and watches the videos, while judges keep track of itmes performed. The team with the most successful items performed wins!

Maple Sugar Sweet Potato Fries

Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 14 cup maple sugar
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon mild yellow curry
  • 2 large sweet potatoes or yams, skin-on
  • 1 tablespoon minced green onion, to garnish

Directions

In a deep-fryer or heavy-bottomed pot, heat enough vegetable oil to come halfway up the sides of the pot, to 350 degrees F.

In a small bowl, whisk together the maple sugar, black pepper, salt, and yellow curry. Reserve.

Scrub the sweet potatoes clean. Cut in half and then into 12-inch thick wedges. When oil is hot, reduce heat to medium-high and carefully put half of the wedges in the oil. Cook turning occasionally to brown on all sides, about 10 to 12 minutes. Remove to a paper towel lined colander to drain. Sprinkle the fries with some of the reserved spice mixture. Cover with another paper towel to keep warm. Repeat with remaining wedges. via

King’s Cup Drinking Game for Adults

Summary and Supplies:

Kings Cup is one of the most fun drinking card games you can play. It’s a flexible, simple drinking game, and every game you play is a little different. Tons of fun! All you need to play this is a deck of cards, list of rules, and a pint-sized cup.

The Game:

Place a pint-sized glass in the middle of the table.

Spread a deck of cards in a circle around the cup and have your guests sit around it.

The game begins and ends with Kings– with each King card pulled, the player who pulls that card pours some of his or her drink into the pint cup in the middle of the table.

The person who pulls the last King in the deck must drink what’s in the cup. This is especially disgusting is everybody is drinking something different.

All cards are tied to an activity/rule:

2

Two for you: Two drinks to the person of your choice

3

Three for me: Take three drinks

4

Four’s for Whores: All ladies take a drink

5

Slap: Upon seeing the five card pulled, all players must hit the table with their hand. The last person to do this drinks.

6

Six is for Dicks: All the guys take a drink

7

Thumbmaster: Whoever pulls a 7 becomes the new Thumbmaster. He or she can sneakily put their thumb on the table whenever they like. All the other players must put theirs on the table, too. The last to do it must drink.

8

I Never: Say a statement about something you’ve never done. All those who have done it must drink.

9

Rhyme: Say a short sentence. The next player has to say one that rhymes. It goes around the table til the last person can’t think of a rhyme. He or she drinks. (Words can only be used once)

10

Category: Choose a category. Each player must choose something within that category. If you can’t think of anything, you drink. (Example: chocolate candy bars: Snickers, Twix, Reese’s Cups, Milky Way, etc.)

Jack

Rule: When you pull a rule card, you get to make up a rule for the game. Every time the rule is broken, that person must drink. (See Rules Game above for some good rule ideas.)

Queen

Question Master: The person who pulls the Q is Question Master until the next Q is pulled. He or she can ask a question of another player at any time. If that player answers the question, he or she must drink.

King

King’s Cup: The first three to pull a King must pour some of their drink into the cup at the middle of the table. The last person to choose it must drink it. The game ends when the last King is pulled.

Ace

Waterfall: Everybody drinks. The player who picked the Ace starts the waterfall. No player can stop drinking until the player before him stops.

Beer Birds

This has to be one of the easiest recipes around. You simply take a full opened can of beer, stand a chicken on it, and throw it on the barbeque (well – don’t literally throw it – that could be very messy!) The beer can is inserted in the neck area (where you would normally stuff the chicken) and stood upright. While the chicken cooks, the beer heats up and subtly flavors the meat. You end up with a tasty and surprisingly moist chicken. You should also rub a little olive oil over the chicken and salt and pepper it before starting. If you have a favorite “rub” you can add that too. Oh – make sure you drink half of the can first – it should be half full when starting out. I am sure you will have no trouble finding someone to help you with that part of the recipe. Cook the chicken with the BBQ lid on for approximately 1 1/4 hours or until the internal temperature registers 165 degrees F in the breast area and 180 degrees F in the thigh (or the juices run clear if you pierce it with a knife).

Corny Chili Pie

1 (10 oz.) can chili-hot-dog sauce
1 qt. popped popcorn
1 (10 oz.) pkg. corn-bread mix
1 qt. popped popcorn
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 (8 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained; reserve 1 tablespoon liquid
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Butter a 9×13 in baking pan. Mix chili-hot-dog-sauce and 1 quart of popcorn. Spread evenly in buttered baking pan. In a mixing bowl, add and mix thoroughly the corn bread mix, remaining 1 quart of popcorn, egg, milk corn and tablespoon of corn liquid. Place in a layer over chili-popcorn mixture. Bake for 20 minutes or until a cake tester can be clean from the center. Makes 6 servings.
