Bead Star Earrings

We found this picture on pinterest with no instructions – but it’s too beautiful to not post. The concept is well photographed and looks simple enough to give it a try.

You’ll need:

  • 10 dark blue beads in 2 sizes
  • 10 light blue beads in the larger size
  • 15 clear beads in the smaller size
  • Silver jewelry wire
  • Silver earring findings – your choice

Following the picture; wire the dark blue beads alternating size. Add the star’s spokes, or petals, one at a time as in the middle photo. When all the spokes are attached, secure the wire and add your earring parts – lovely!

Think about trying different color combinations to match different outfits – and make a third star to add to a chain for a complete set!

Great for those Ugly Sweater Parties!!

valeriemw says on instagram: “I got the sweater at Kmart, leggings and stockings at Walmart, the hollow dome circle for the nose and stuffing for the antlers at a craft store and stuffed knee highs with the stuffing then sewed/safety pinned them where I wanted them, also put wire in them to make them bend, used an old white tanktop for the eyes, painted the nose red and sewed it on with yarn, cut a pair of stocking/leggings in half and put them on my arms over the sweater, sewed it on and cut finger holes! I was going to make ears coming out of my armpits but completely forgot!!”
