Multiple of 4, plus 3
Chain desired width of project as a multiple of 4, then add 3 additional chains
Row 1: sc in second chain from hook and each chain across, turn
Row 2: ch 1. sc in first stitch. *ch 14. Insert hook in second chain from hook and pull up a loop, insert hook in next chain and pull up a loop, continue this in the remaining chains until there are 14 loops on your hook. YO and pull through all 14 loops on hook. YO and pull up a loop. Fold “petal” to front of work so it’s in line with the foundation chain. Slip stitch in top of first chain of the petal. Skip a stitch in previous row, sc in next three stitches. Repeat from * until you reach the final two stitches. Skip one stitch. sc in last stitch of the row. Turn.
Row 3: ch 1. sc in first stitch. *dc in next stitch, catching center of petal. sc in next three stitches. Repeat from * until end. sc in last stitch. Turn.
Row 4: (change colors if desired) ch 1. sc in first three stitches. Repeat from * in row 2.
Repeat rows 2-4 until you reach desired length of project.
