Milk Bread

Warm milk bread hits the spot – just try it and you’ll see.

 

  • 2/3 cup heavy cream (at room temperature)
  • 1 cup, plus 1 tablespoon milk (at room temperature)
  • 1 large egg (at room temperature)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cake flour
  • 3 1/2 cups bread flour
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • Egg wash: whisk together 1 egg with 1 teaspoon water
  • Simple syrup (optional): 2 teaspoons of sugar dissolved in 2 teaspoons hot water

Jello Layer Squares

Take the time to follow the instructions to get these looking perfect – they are loved by kids and adults alike!

4 different flavors of Jello (try to choose the ones that are different colored—I like strawberry/raspberry, lime, blueberry, and orange). If you do have two similar colors, just don’t layer them next to each other.
