3, 2, 1 Cake!

25 Jan

This is perfect for those of us with just one or two in the house these days, hate to make a huge cake, (cause I tend to eat it all). This way you can make 1,2,3,or as many as you need.

1 box Angel Food Cake Mix
1 box Cake Mix – Any Flavor
2 Tbsp Water
Makes 1 serving.

In a ziploc bag, combine the two cake mixes together
And mix well. For each individual cake serving, take
Out 3 Tablespoons of the cake mix combination and
Mix it with 2 Tablespoons of water in a small microwave-safe
Container. Microwave on high for 1 minute, and you have
Your own instant individual little cake!

KEEP remaining cake mixture stored in the ziploc bag
And use whenever you feel like a treat! You can top
Each cake with a dollop of fat free whipped topping
And/or some fresh fruit.

Helpful Tips:
This recipe is called 3, 2, 1 Cake because all you need
To remember is
“3 tablespoons mix,
2 tablespoons water,
1 minute in the microwave!”
TRY various flavors of cake mix like carrot, red velvet, pineapple,
Lemon, orange, etc. Just remember that one of the mixes has
To be the angel food mix; the other is your choice.
The flavor possibilities are endless!

The best thing is, you open both cake mixes into a gallon
Storage bag, one that ‘zip locks’ or ‘self-seals’, or a
Container that seals tightly, shake the two cake mixes to
Blend and then make the recipe. Storage of mix is simple,
Put it on a shelf. No need to refrigerate, since the mix is dry.

I got this recipe from a lady in my Weight Watchers Group. We are now trying to figure out the point value. It sounds easy enough and just enough to satisfy our taste for cake.

This really is great. It is not a dense cake but is more like an angle food cake. Gives you that sweet craving. Is really good with a combination of FF Cool Whip and FF&SF pudding (your choice of flavor). Lasts in your cupboard for quite a while (3-4 months I found).

I”d be delighted to join you, Krisgo! But you have to tell me about your user name! :-) I was researching for the Depression-era “1 2 3 cake” my grandmother would sometimes make for “Papaw” well into the 1990’s. He said it may have been a poor excuse for a cake, but it was sweet and had her love in it, to boot! Instead of finding out anything about that kind of cake, I found this new microwave kind. It is just MADE for a single Baby Boomer like me! Or truly? Any household that has anyone with a sweet tooth! Thanks for sharing! any household – kids can make their own, singles, a couple. It’s just too easy NOT to. I can’t sharing! ~~ TERRY LICIA

      Thanks for the cute story.
About my user name…. A long time ago my dad made silly commercials and videos. He parodied the inventor guy “Ronco” so he used the name “Jonco”. He runs a very popular website
Since my name is Kris; I used Krisco. Changed it later to Krisgo.

What a great dad! Cute user name story, too. I used to do the same thing with commercials – but they didn’t make it to video. Just home entertainment during long, long winters. I made the cakes – everyone had to have one. However, the 1 2 3 bit? Makes a cake that’s gone in four bites. Might work for the Diet du Jour but that’s not for us. So, I doubled, then tripled it, in a glass cereal bowl. Tadah! It now fits the Alaskan view of a piece of cake!
