Here’s a really great tip. Fill a dishpan either with clean sand or clean kitty litter. Place the broken heirloom in such a way that you anchor the main piece, and can support the piece that needs to be glued. I’ve fixed a number of “oops!” moments this way. The sand works as a flexible support, allowing you to epoxy away without the piece falling off due to the forces of gravity.
