Same effect we used HERE in our melted pony bead sun catchers – THIS gal used a 12 inch pan and more beads so the final result had more thickness. Cool!!

  1. Just wondering, I love the outcome of this, I was going to try to make one into a bowl shape for a bird bath and I mentioned, to the sales person at the craft store where I was going to purchase the beads, how I was going to do it, that’s when she brought out! is this possible? The pony beads have toxic poisons in them, wouldn’t they escape a fill the air in your home? I was concerned not only for my well being but that of my 2 cats as well, I don’t want them or myself to get deathly sick breathing in toxic gasses omitted from these beads. Please let me kno how you did this and if it is safe?

    1. We suggest if you decide to try this project, to do it in a very well ventilated area. We are in no way saying this is safe at all for you or your animals. If you don’t feel safe trying this project – please don’t do it.

      1. I wanted to do this project and thought that it was actually with markers which is an option you may want to do for that’s how I had planned originally. there are such things as porcelain markers the baked sharpies may work as well as it is done on the underside of the plate with the food does not sit. Good luck!
