- Vintage silver spoon (stainless won’t work – it’s to hard)

Do It And How 
I have always wanted to try this and I already have the alphabet stamps, but how do you know if the spoons are silver? I have seen bins of silverware at the some craft stores so I don’t know what they are made of. Any suggestions? I would love to make some of these as garden markers this year.
Any readers out there that can help? I’d think spoons in craft bins at stores aren’t going to be silver. But I don’t know how to tell the difference either!
