Pair of long socks, needle and thread, stuffing, buttons, black embroidery thread, and soft flannel for the ears. And add a ribbon if you like.

My grandmas made sock monkeys. One made lots of them, and she made a few kangaroos, complete with joeys. I’m fortunate to have monkeys from both grandmas and a kangaroo w/joey.
