Create personalized clothespins, one for each child;
“The rule was simple: as long as they were doing well, the clip stayed up. But, if anyone made a bad choice & decided to be ugly or whiny, their clip came down. And if the clip came down, they would miss out on the next fun thing, whether it be a pack of gum at the next gas stop, an ice cream cone, getting to choose the next movie or having extra time on the iPad.” Use it on your next road trip! great idea via

Personalized Mugs
Here’s the method: All you need is a sharpie (any color) and a porcelain dish that you want to permanently alter. You can even use super cheap mugs from the dollar store to create gifts or party favors. Just draw on the surface of your mug and bake it for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Allow them to cool completely before washing or using. via
DVD Case Dry Erase Board
Great for classrooms: “Use DVD cases and turn the jackets inside out. I had my students each bring in a DVD case. I had them take out the jackets, trace around them on a piece of construction paper, cut them out and slide them into the DVD case cover.” See complete article HERE – neat idea!
Homemade Neon Message
Tips for recreating your own neon love note:
* Sketch out your message and decide how many sticks you need.
* Buy a few more than you need because you’ll get some duds.
* Make sure you can attach them with clear tape and that it won’t damage the surface of the wall. Mine only peeled away at two spots because I was careful.
* Find the center of your word or phrase and then work your way out on either side.
* Use a tri-pod if you plan on photographing it.
* Make sure you don’t mind everyone else reading your message, too!
* Check your spelling. Haha!
Giant Magnet Board

It’s simply an oil drip pan, bought from Walmart for $12. Cheap!
The oil pan had a grease coating on it which came off with SimpleGreen. I didn’t want to put (or try to put a hole in it for hanging) a hole in it so I use the 3M picture hanging velcro.
