Gypsiesister says: Start by pinning the scarf to the front panel of an old shirt. Line up the scarf hem to the buttons. Next cut the scarf under the arm seam and down side seam, I left a few centimeters excess here. Tack loosely to keep in in place while sewing then get your machine out and stitch the scarf to the front panel. Remove tacking thread and trim of excess scarf, and your done!
This would be great to cover a stain or rip in an old shirt too!
First crochet (or knit) a washrag using your favorite pattern. Then using a coordinating thread (the blue in photo is just for instructional purposes) to sew up as pictured; adding fluffs of poly-fill or cotton balls. Make sure to add a pompom of white for the tail and eyes and nose with colored embroidery floss or beads.
