On #7: ketchup/catsup is a thixotropic liquid–this means that it stays where it is until a sheer force is applied. So instead of wasting a straw, just hold the glass bottle upside down over your food and hit the bottle about where the neck and straight part of the bottle is (on a Heinz bottle, look for the “57” imprint–that’s your target). A couple of strikes or so will get the ketchup goodness flowing.
