Irish Stout Pot Pies in Mason Jars

Hearty dinner that’s a bit different than your regular skillet dish or casserole – Yes!

  • 1½ pounds beef stew meat, cubed
  • 2 T. flour
  • 2 T. olive oil
  • ½ cup celery, chopped (1 stalk)
  • ½ cup carrots, chopped (2 stalks)
  • ½ t. dried thyme
  • ½ medium onion, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ cups beef broth
  • 1½ cups Irish stout
  • 1 14.5 oz. can Hunt’s petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 T. sugar
  • 3 T. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 T. water
  • Salt and pepper
  • Small mason jars
